Tsinghua University SO Fan Club is now organizing a summer camp on student entrepreneurship before July 20 SO Day. They have started planning some interactive warm up activities for September 25 EKS Day. 19 teams from different universities will join in this camp. It's a big opportunity to introduce Special Olympics to them as well as to celebrate the inspiration, impact and indomitable spirit of Eunice Kennedy Shriver.
EKS DAY (September 25)
EKS Day is a day honoring the vision and commitment of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and the tradition of making a difference that began in her backyard. The day’s events include a series of initiatives that celebrate Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s legacy, including, large scale Unity Field projects, local sports clinics and seminars, and online support and sponsorship.
SO Athletes and non-SO Athletes alike are brought together in the spirit of unity. Volunteering your time, playing sports, and learning about the legacy of Eunice Kennedy Shriver all contribute to the definition of EKS Day.
EKS Day generates awareness, and develops leaders within schools, and offers a platform for raising badly needed resources. The long term goal is to launch a worldwide day through partnerships with local clubs and scholastic athletic associations.
