Special Olympics East Asia Organized  

Beijing Mar. 3, 2010Special Olympics East Asia Calls on Spread the Word to End the Word” (STW) in the region. In China, schools in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi'an, Chongqing and Wuxi held pledge events through various forms.

In the afternoon of March 3, Chengdu Ximapeng Primary School, responded to the calling of "Spread the Word to End the Word" in a rally with volunteers from Qingsu Technical School.

On 19 March, we organised a meet-the-press event to introduce SOEA as well as the R-word campaign. Our R-word news and videos are being clipped/broadcasted in "Youku" that is the largest website ( of its type ) in China. http://kanba.youku.com/bar_barPost/barid_D2BQNQ5pVWUIPA==_subjectid_2076626

Tsinghua University SO Fans launched its R-word activities in the university in Beijing on 26 March 2010. Over hundred students pledged to show their support.

In the evening of Mar. 29, 30 and April 1, at 19:00-21:00, teachers from Xi'an Special School and Xi'an Beilin Special Education Center conducted orientations of STW in Northwest University, Xi'an University of Technology and Xi'an University of Posts and Telecommunications. Nearly 300 university students participated and pledged.
