On Oct. 11, 2008, 25 SO athletes from Beijing Chao Yang An Hua School and Tong Zhou Special School visited UBS Modern Art Collection Exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing as special guests. Over 20 UBS local employees and their families accompanied these little guests as volunteers. Mr. David Li, Chairman & Country Head of UBS China, and Ms. Anna Chan, Managing Director of SOEA also attended the event.

After enjoying a guided tour around hundreds of precious modern art collections by UBS, the students from the two schools were divided into small groups and drew pictures themselves under guidance of National Art Museum staff and UBS volunteers. The purpose of the activity was to provide the students an opportunity to express their own feelings and understanding toward art as well as the outside world. And the delicate expressions and innovative ideas reflected from the pictures amazed all viewers.

Accompanying the students to tour around the art collections, Mr. David Li said he was very excited to be the first group of viewers of the exhibition with SO athletes. "UBS Art Collection reflects that as one of the biggest financial organization in the world, UBS not only cares about expanding its businesses, but also pays close attention to human lives, while paying back to local communities is always one of our core values," said Mr. Li. He also stressed that UBS will continue to shoulder its duties of responsible citizenship and support social welfare works in China in the future.
