HONG KONG, November 9 -- Special Olympics Hong Kong co-sponsored a Unified Sports Seminar in conjunction with the Hong Kong Baptist University, which aimed at promoting Unified Sports and included people with and without intellectual disabilities. Around 300 participants took part in the seminar, including academic professors in the field of special education and adaptive Physical Education, local Special Olympic athletes and students from the university.

Ms. Anna Chan, Managing Director of Special Olympics East Asia, and professors from universities in Hong Kong and the United States, gave presentations on the development of Special Olympics as well as the development of Unified Sports programs throughout Hong Kong and the United States. There was also a practical session in which participants could take part in several unified sports events, which included Unified Bocce, Unified Basketball, and Unified Floor Hockey competitions.
