Fu Liang is a Special Olympics athlete from Dalian. He has persisted in daily running of over 1,000 m for over eight years. With such hard training, Fu won the championship of the 100-m race at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai. After that, he continued to train hardly. Last month, he learned about that the 2012 London Olympic Games will add a competition for intellectually disabled persons, which is different from the Special Olympics Games. With a record of 11”3 for 100-m race, Fu is very likely to obtain a position in the national team to attend the London Olympic Games.
