2007 World Summer Games Update April, 2005
From the desk of the 2007 Games Executive Committee

The winning entry in the international competition for the selection of a 2005 Public Service Announcement (PSA) was a joint submission by Captivated Advertising TV's Mr. Scott Lau, Ms. Liang Chen Meijin and Mr. Albert Tien.

Inspired by the famous traditional Chinese folk painting known as "100 Children", the announcement cleverly introduces modern-day Special Olympics athletes via the activity and movement of a Chinese painting. The "100 Children" come to life as they are integrated with footage of Special Olympics athletes throughout China and the world taking part in a variety of sports.

By conveying the inspiring image of each athlete's sporting potential, dreams and aspirations, the PSA effectively illustrates the Special Olympics spirit of acceptance and inclusion. The announcement will be aired nationally throughout the year, to promote the upcoming 2007 World Games in Shanghai. Design competitions will also be held for the 2006 and 2007 national PSA, in the lead up to the games.
