Special Olympics Macau

Special Olympics Macau was founded in 1983 and is supported by volunteers from all walks of life. There were over 1,000 athletes participating in Special Olympics Macau by the end of 2005. The guiding principle of the organization is the Special Olympics motto "Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." Special Olympics Macau provides special physical training and improves the confidence of people with mental disabilities while opening and educating society about the Movement and intellectual disability.

Special Olympics Macau currently provides weekly training in aquatics, athletics, badminton, basketball, bocce, bowling, football, snowshoeing and table tennis. Anyone with a mental disability can join Special Olympics Macau, regardless of their age or their abilities. Every November, Special Olympics Macau hosts the Special Olympics Macau Invitational Games.
