Three delegations of law enforcement officers, government officials and representatives from Special Olympics Programs in East Asia traveled to San Francisco, California to attend the Law Enforcement Torch Run Conference, which was held from 21-23 November. Two delegatoins from China, one from beijing and the other from Shanghai, as well as a delegation from Chinese Taipei attended the three day conference.

China currently does not have a Torch Run program but is very interested in starting one, especially in the lead-up to the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai.
