In 2005, Canada Day in Beijing will be held on July 2nd at the picturesque Chateau. Regalia located in Beijing, ShunYi District only 30 minutes by car from the city center. There, guests can enjoy a full clubhouse with an outdoor swimming pool and plenty of room for Canadians and friends of Canadians to mingle, spend time with their families, enjoy the music of a live band and sip on Molson Beer, especially imported for this event. A large scale BBQ will be in order, with real Canadian style hot dogs and burgers served. Program highlights will include an address by the Canadian Ambassador to China, an extreme bicycle exhibition, the Canada Day classic Watermelon Eating contest, Canada Day Trivia Contest, and the exhibition of Rolls Royce's newest car, “Phantom”, specially flown-in from England, and many many more exciting activities. There will be a ton of cool prizes to be won, and the grand prize will be two round trip tickets from Air Canada to anywhere in North and South America. See you there, and don’t forget to bring your swimsuit!
Canada Day has graciously donated booth space to Special Olympics. Special Olympics East Asia staff will be on hand to answer questions about our programs. There will also be Special Olympics athletes from a local special education school selling handicrafts made by the students. Come visit our booth to find out more about Special Olympics!
Free shuttle buses will be provided for the event.
