Special Olympics China and Special Olympics East Asia co-hosted three Sport Development and Family Support Network Seminars in China during October and November. The seminars were held in Nanchang, Jiangxi province; Hefei, Anhui province, and in Changsha, Hunan province. More than 230 senior and national-level coaches, educators, officials, family members and volunteers attended the training seminars in these three cities. The attendees learned about Special Olympics and received specialized sports training as well as instruction on developing Family Support Networks in their communities. The attendees will now return to their communities and begin developing local Special Olympics Programs. These three training seminars follow two Sport Development and Family Support Network Training seminars that took place earlier in the year in Haikou, Hainan province, and Dali, Yunnan province.
